Janet Jackson says she is not after her brother’s money. PICTURE:

Who needs Days of Our Lives when we have one of the world’s famous family’s – The Jacksons – keeping us glued to the TV (or PC) with their family fueds?

First, the children of the late Michael Jackson were taken away from their grandmother Katherine Jackson who has been looking after them since his death three years ago. Then, she was given shared custody.

Then, TMZ reported a fight between Janet Jackson and Michael’s daughter, Paris.  The fight, TMZ reported, was over Michael’s estate –  the fact that Michael did not leave any money to his sister. We don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but then TMZ issued an apology over its publication of the story. But we all know the seed has already been planted by the initial story. ”We believed the story to be true when we published it, we have now determined it was not correct”, the statement read. Uhm, if you were so certain of your facts, what made you change your mind?

Now, Janet made her voice heard by posting a statement on her website denying rumours that she is after her brother’s money. In the statement written by her lawyer, Blair G Brown, it says:

“It is important to stress that Janet, Randy and Rebby have questioned the validity of the will with no financial motive whatsoever – they stand to gain nothing financially by a finding that the will is invalid.”

Janet questioned the fact that her brother’s will is said to have been signed in California when Michael was in fact in New York on the said date. She also claims that the Jackson family have been harmed by the actions of the executors of Michael’s estate – John Branca, John McClain and the estate’s lawyer Howard Weitzman.

And the drama continues…
